SEMINARS/WORKSHOPS

Why Seminars/ Workshops

The idea behind the seminar or conference system is to familiarize students more extensively with the methodology of their chosen training or course and also to allow them to interact with examples of the practical problems that always crop up during their work. It is essentially a place where assigned training and readings are discussed, questions raised and debates conduct. It is relatively informal, at least compared to the lecture system of academic coaching.

The workshop is the vehicle by which a student learns the “know how” of performing. It is a class in which the student acquires performance experience with guidance from the teacher in a non-formal atmosphere.

Performances secure repertoire mastery. Special skills are required to bring a piece to a performance level. When a piece a can be performed well in front of an audience , the mastery of that piece is better secured because one works harder to learn his/ her pieces for any performance.

Performances develop gracefulness and good social poise, which is necessary not only for success at more demanding performances, such as competitions, auditions, recitals, etc., but also in personal growth.

Our focuses on:

  • Organizing seminars and workshops in the emerging areas of Science and Technology, Sports, NSS and others programs
  • Identifying thrust areas for research and consultancy
  • Industrial visits for students and faculty
